Powis square | london, uk | 2018

A public pocket square in Notting Hill, London. A competition project in collaboration with Tigg Coll Architects.

Playful ingenuity was deployed in the competition project for Powis Squ, a collaboration with Tigg Coll Architects. The key to the scheme was removing all railings around the once private square, producing a new street scape and a more flexible space where the Noting Hill carnival can hold events. At the parks centre a large ‘play garden’, reflecting the distinctive colours of the surrounding streets. A wildlife board walk would weave its way along one edge of the park.
